Hiking Add-Ons for Private Trips
Available immediately, Chasing Epic is excited to offer a slightly different element to our multi-day private trips: for all custom, private trips in Sedona, St. George, and Crested Butte, we now have the option to add on a full day of guided hiking! Because we want you to get the most out of your mountain biking, however, we recommend adding this as an option only for trips that are five days in length or longer. That said, we think for those length trips, it would be a perfect “rest day” between otherwise epic riding!
Sedona
Situated in-between some of the most stunningly beautiful red rock formations in the world, Sedona is an outdoor lover’s paradise. We’ve spent time in Sedona for both hiking and mountain biking, and it almost pains us to say… the hiking is *almost* as good as the riding! If you want an exciting rest day in the middle of your private trip, let us take you hiking to Bear Mountain or Brins Mesa, two of the coolest areas you’ll see on foot.
St. George
St. George (and Hurricane) sits only 40 minutes from Zion National Park, one of the natural wonders of the United States. Its canyons and rock formations are mind-blowing, you have to see them in person to understand the scale of the landscape. If you’re looking for an awesome combination of desert southwest mesa riding and world-class hiking, let us show you Observation Point or Angel’s Landing, two of the iconic hikes in the park.
Crested Butte
Just like the riding in and around Crested Butte, the hiking is amazing. Wildflowers everywhere, and the ragged mountains surrounding town make for breathtaking vistas. Thanks to our partnership with Colorado Backcountry, the hiking options here are virtually unlimited: Scarp Ridge, West Maroon Pass, and Rustler’s Gulch are some of our favorites.
