What’s Included

Lodging

We believe a feeling of community is important to our customers on Chasing Epic trips; depending on the location, we’ll be based in one or multiple condos, townhomes, or single-family homes where we’ll have all our meals, tell stories, and get some R&R.

All trips are booked as double occupancy, so expect to share a room with another same-gender rider. Single supplements are available for an additional charge. If you need an additional night on either end of your trip, let us know and we’ll help with your planning.

Meals

All meals on your Chasing Epic trip are included for every day of your trip: starting with dinner on the first night and ending with breakfast (or lunch) on the last day.  With regards to lunch or food for during the ride, we’ll provide the best in ride nutrition from Skratch Labs and Honey Stinger in addition to a pre-made lunch wraps, sliders, or other packable lunch option to eat on the trail during the day.

Most all of our meals are home-cooked by our in-house chef… expect great meals with plenty of food and options for even the pickiest of eaters.  One exception: on our longer 6 and 7-day trips, we’ll head into town one night for a group dinner.  We’ll cover the apps, you’re responsible for entree, drinks and dessert.

HIGH-END DEMO BIKES

Want to ride some of the best bikes while you’re riding the best trails?  We’ve got you covered.  We’re partnering with some of the best bike companies in the world to bring our customers an incredible high-end demo bike fleet; access to these bikes is included in each trip package (some sizes or models may have limited availability).  All of our bikes are perfectly matched with our epic destinations; all-mountain and trail-oriented rippers with top-of-the-line suspension, wheelsets, and component packages.  In the past we’ve partnered with Specialized, Revel and Propain.  We’re currently working on the 2024 fleet, so stay tuned!

Guides

Every one of our trips includes professional mountain bike guides that are not only local experts, but is there to answer questions, help with mechanicals, and anything else you need during your ride.  They cover it all and have a great time doing it.  We only work with the best of the best, and our guides are all Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certified.

Our maximum customer to guide ratio is 5:1, and in most cases it’s closer to 4:1.  This gives us an opportunity to break up into smaller groups if desired without leaving anyone behind.

Ride Nutrition

Let’s face it, bonking on a ride when you still have five miles left is no fun, and we’ve all been there; to fully enjoy our epic mountain bike rides, you should be properly energized.

Thanks to our partnerships with Honey Stinger and Skratch Labs, Chasing Epic is able to provide all clients with the best available nutrition options to keep you going all day long: waffles, energy gels, calorie-heavy (and delicious) bars, you name it.  We’ll have plenty of options to satisfy even the pickiest of riders.

Training Program

We’re stoked to announce that beginning with our 2024 trips, we are including a professionally-developed training program for all Chasing Epic customers!  We know that our trips are difficult- they’re designed that way, they’re designed to push your limits physically and/or technically.  That said, we want to support you in the journey to becoming a better rider and being able to enjoy our trips even more, and we believe that starts with a solid foundation.

These plans will help you establish the base fitness, conditioning, strength and understanding needed to crush every trip you book from now on.  We’re also including options for you to take things a step further with one-on-one coaching and training with Coach Mike Durner, if you have a bigger event or race on the calendar.

Trip Leader

Our all-inclusive mountain bike trips include a dedicated on-site trip leader: a Chasing Epic employee whose sole purpose is to make sure you have the best vacation possible.  They coordinate the rides, guides, meals, answer questions and help with any issues that pop up.

Your trip coordinator will be an expert-level mountain biker who’s there every step of the way, and will assist on all of the planned rides. Most of our trip coordinators are photographers as well; we’ll let you know ahead of time so you can leave your camera behind.
