The Rides of Our Monarch Crest Enduro… in Photos

Last month, we hosted back-to-back sold out groups in Salida, CO for our Monarch Crest Enduro; this is one of our most rowdy, technical, and physical trips.  Both trips had to deal with crazy weather, from rain to hail to thunderstorms and just about everything in-between.  On the first trip, we got lucky and were able to run the trip as-planned, with the following itinerary:

  • Day 1: Starvation Creek (21 miles, 4500′ descent)
  • Day 2: Greens Creek and Fooses Creek (30 miles, 8000′ descent)
  • Day 3: Canyon Creek (20 miles w/ 4000′ climbing and descent)
  • Day 4: Agate Creek (18 miles w/ 5000′ descent)
  • Total: 89 miles w/ 21,500′ descent

Unfortunately the rain and storms got the best of us on trip 2, since we needed to call on “Plan B” for two of the ride days!

  • Day 1: Starvation Creek (21 miles, 4500′ descent)
  • Day 2: Hartman Rocks (24 miles, 2800′ climbing and descent)
  • Day 3: Greens Creek and Fooses Creek (30 miles, 8000′ descent)
  • Day 4: Cottonwood Shuttle (10 miles, 2500′ descent)
  • Total: 85 miles w/ 17,800′ descent

Whenever possible, our trip leaders will have their camera out and ready to shoot… so take a look at the images from the two trips below, and hopefully we’ll see you on a future trip in Salida!
