After a successful trip to Crested Butte in the summer of 2022, we’re heading back to the Colorado high country with the Worldwide Cyclery crew… this time to Durango!  This trip is 5 days long with 4 days of riding, and we couldn’t put together a more epic trip for this group.  But Durango you say, that’s not a Chasing Epic destination?  But it is- this trip is our official launch of Durango, as we scouted the area in 2021 and have just now secured permits and lined everything up!

Each Chasing Epic trip is custom-designed for our clients, but you can expect big days on the Colorado Trail north of Durango, and lots more off-the-radar back country epics!  Make no mistake these are BIG rides; each day will start with a shuttle, but you can still expect to ride 20-25 miles and climb over 2000 feet each day.  Compared to Crested Butte, Durango offers slightly easier climbing, but more technically difficult descents.  By partnering with our awesome partners at Hermosa Tours, we’ll show you the bucket list rides but we’ll also take you on back country adventures you’d never find on your own.

Airport Options: Durango (45 minutes), Montrose (2 hours), Grand Junction (3 hours), Albuerque (4 hours)

All Chasing Epic trips include absolutely everything you need for an amazing trip: just bring your shoes, backpack, and sense of adventure and we’ll take care of the rest.  We’re the only mountain bike adventure travel company that includes high-end bikes in every one of our trips, for 2022 we’re carrying Propain and Revel, as seen on our demo fleet page.

At the request of Jeff, for this trip we’re also offering an optional hike on Monday afternoon (ride Day 3) for those interested… destination TBD, but with Jeff involved you can be sure that it’s going to be intense and maybe a little bit wacky!
