Rentals & Sales

Starting in May 2021, we’re pleased to offer mountain bike rentals and sales to customers in the Denver/Boulder/Fort Collins area of Colorado.  We’ll be working with both Deviate Cycles and Revel Bikes to provide a large selection of models and sizes, with the goal of helping you “try before you buy”!

All Rentals are 3 Days for $250,  How it Works:

1. Check out our available bike models (below, and on our demo bike page) and choose what you’d like to ride.  All bikes are rented for a period of 3 days for $250; the only exceptions we can make are for large groups.

2. Fill out the form below with your desired pickup date, bike model, size and contact information.

3. We’ll get back to you within 24 hours with availability, plus a waiver and a short bike setup questionnaire.  You won’t have to pay until you pick the bike up (with a valid CC and Driver’s License).

4. Pick up the bike (we’re located in Niwot), and go ride for three days!  We’re happy to make recommendations for the Boulder area or in the mountains.

5. If you decide to buy, WE WILL REIMBURSE THE FULL DEMO FEE so your rental is essentially free!  You’ll receive more information on purchases when you return the bike.

OUR DEMO FLEET

Deviate Highlander (29’er)

The Highlander burst on the scene last spring as one of few high-pivot trail bike designs, and its launch has been met with rave reviews.  The bike is set up with 150mm of rear travel matched to a 160mm fork with 29″ wheels, which means it can tackle the burliest terrain you can throw at it.  Don’t let the long travel fool you, however, as the bike pedals quite well and won’t hold you back if you want to push the pace on the climbs.

Expected Build Specs:

  • 160mm MRP Ribbon fork
  • Cane Creek Kitsuma air shock
  • Industry Nine Enduro 305 wheels
  • Shimano XT drivetrain
  • Shimano SLX 4-piston brakes
  • Bike Yoke Revive 160mm dropper post

Sizes Available: Medium, Large, XL

Revel Rail (27.5″)

Want a bike that’s built to go fast and erase mistakes?  The Revel Rail is for you, then.  The only 27.5″ option in our fleet, the Rail is one of the best at smashing through chunk and rowdy terrain.  It’s a little slow on the uphills, but once you point it downhill, you’ll forget all about the climb that got you there. This is one of the most fun bikes we rode in 2020.

Expected Build Specs:

  • 170mm Rockshox Lyrik Ultimate
  • Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock
  • Industry Nine Enduro-S wheels
  • SRAM X01 Drivetrain
  • Code RSC brakes
  • Crank Brothers 150mm dropper

Sizes Available: Medium, Large

Revel Ranger (29’er)

180-degrees from the Rail, the Ranger is built for speed with 120mm of front travel paired to 115mm in the back.  This bike is a light, snappy, XC/Trail machine that’s meant to climb and pedal fast, and have fun on the descents.  If you’re looking for a bike to take you on all-day adventures where the terrain doesn’t get super technical, this is your dance partner.

Expected Build Specs:

  • 120mm Rockshox SID Ultimate
  • Rockshox SID Luxe Ultimate shock
  • Industry Nine Enduro-S wheels
  • SRAM X01 Drivetrain
  • G2 RSC brakes
  • Crank Brothers 150mm dropper

Sizes Available: Medium, Large, XL

Revel Rascal (29’er)

The Rascal is one of the best 29’er trail bikes on the market: with 130mm of rear travel and a 140mm fork up front, it can handle just about any terrain you throw at it.  The CBF suspension platform rides more like 150mm of rear travel; it’ll blow you away the first time you hop on the bike.  If you’re looking for a do-it-all trail bike for your trip, this should be at the top of the list.

Expected Build Specs:

  • 140mm Rockshox Pike Ultimate
  • Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock
  • Industry Nine Enduro-S wheels
  • SRAM X01 Drivetrain
  • G2 RSC brakes
  • Crank Brothers 150mm dropper

Sizes Available: Small, Medium, Large, XL

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I rent the bike for just a single day?  Unfortunately not.  For 2021 we’re a very small operation with limited manpower, and in order to minimize costs and provide quality service we have to limit our rentals to three days.

When can I pick up the bike, and when do I have to drop it off?  On your pickup day, you can come get the bike anytime between 8am and noon (we’ll agree on a time when you confirm the rental via email).  On the drop-off day, you’ll return the bike between 5-8pm, unless another time has been agreed upon in advance.  This will give you three full days to ride the bike for a true demo experience.  If you would like to pick up the bike the night before your first day, we can arrange that for an add’l $50 fee.

Will you help me set it up?  Absolutely, we want you to have the best ride experience possible, since most of our customers are renting the bike they eventually want to purchase.  We’ll help you get the fit dialed, as well as suspension setup and anything else you need before you head out to the trails.

Are there limitations to where I can ride the bike?  Yes.  You’re not allowed to take the bike out of state or to a lift-served bike park, and you cannot race on the bike.  These will also be spelled out in the waiver you sign before the bike is picked up.  Otherwise, we’re happy to recommend some killer rides in our local area around Boulder or up in the world-famous Colorado high country.

How does it work if I want to buy a Deviate or Revel after my demo?  Will my demo fee be applied towards the purchase price?  We’ve partnered with both Revel and Deviate to make this as seamless as possible.  Your demo fee will absolutely be applied towards the purchase price, making the cost of your rental free!  For Deviate purchases, we’ll provide you with a code to redeem on their website that will reimburse your $250 demo fee.  With Revel, we’re set up as a dealer so we can handle that purchase for you and apply your demo fee towards the purchase price.
