2017 Ride Itinerary
Day 1 // Friday, October 27th
Friday is your first day on the ground in Hurricane, and we’re here to do one thing: ride. After an easy check-in, BMC staff and ride guides will help you dial in your bike for the weekend and get ready to ride. From here it’s off to tackle one of the best slickrock rides in the world: Gooseberry Mesa. For the rest of the afternoon we’ll be tackling swooping singletrack and slickrock rollers as we make our way to one of the best vistas the mesa has to offer. After we’ve had our fill of riding, we’ll chase the sun back into town and round the day out with ice cold beers, ridiculously good BBQ, and plenty of stories from the day.
Day 2 // Saturday, October 28th
Ready for a full day of riding? After a hearty home-cooked breakfast, we’ll be ready to tackle Guacamole Mesa. Overlooking Virgin River, this mesa is a stone’s throw from Zion National Park. A mix of undulating slick-rock and ribbons of dirt singletrack, the “Guac” has riders meanders through forests of pinion and juniper as they seek out rock cairns marking the trail. After spending the morning clicking off miles, we’ll have a trailside feast provided by Chasing Epic before heading back in for more.
After conquering Guacamole Mesa, we’ll head back into town to round out our day with good food, great beers, and a celebration of an awesome trip.
Day 3 // Sunday, October 29th
Let’s go out with a bang! An early start this morning sees us well fed and en route to Little Creek Mesa by 8:30am. As the saying goes: “If Gooseberry is the roller coaster, Little Creek is the whole amusement park!” Blasting in and out of tightly wooded areas, the trail zigs and zags over small outcrops of technical rock features. Inevitably, riders will emerge onto the rim earning a majestic view of the valley far below.
After getting our fill of amazing trails, new friends, and awesome bikes, our final excursion will be finished by 3:00pm; allowing plenty of time for riders to catch an afternoon or evening flight out of St. George or Las Vegas.
- Note: An Exact ride itinerary will be sent out to registered guests one week prior to event. The daily itinerary may be adjusted due to your selected ride group and day-of conditions.
